Ed Michael Reggie serves on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards of directors. In his role as Managing Director of Future Factory,
an investment holding company, he collaborates with the Investment Committee in getting to investment selections, overseeing portfolio companies and cooperating with their management teams to maximize growth and profit.
Mr. Reggie is Chairman of GuideStar Clinical Trials Management
, a Chicago-based company which offers comprehensive, outsource clinical trials management services to medical centers and physician practices across the nation. Also, Mr. Reggie serves on the Board of the New Orleans BioInnovation Center
, a Good Manufacturing Practices laboratory and wet lab incubator for stem cell, vector and DNA production.
Ed Michael founded American LIFECARE, a multi-state managed care organization, now a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group. Earlier, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Regent Health System, a rural hospital chain. He was a founding member of the Louisiana Health Care Commission. Earlier in his career he served as a commercial bank president.
Mr. Reggie has held multiple appointments in the Tulane University Health Sciences Center. In 2004 he received Tulane's Champion of Public Health Award.
He drives micro-lending initiatives in developing countries through his roles as Treasurer and Trustee of Freedom from Hunger
and Guarantor of MicroCredit Enterprises
, both based in northern California. He has served as a healthcare system examiner in Cuba, Syria, Israel, and Jordan with the Human Rights Project, Washington, D.C. and he also has been a delegate to Academy of International Health Studies trade missions to Rome and Hong Kong.
He received his Master of Business Administration degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
